Council is thrilled to be supporting the inaugural Kids on the Cape Fun Run event!
When: Saturday 7th October, 4-7pm
Where: Table Cape Tulip Farm
Cost: $12 pp for ages 7 – 16 (additional cost for adults to enter Tulip Farm)
The idea for this exciting event came from Boat Harbour Primary School student, Ellie Gatenby. She was inspired by the Michael Phillips ‘Gone Nuts’ event and wanted to create something similar for kids. Ellie even helped create the artwork for the post.
There will be three options for participants to choose from: a 1.5km, 3.5km & 5km race. The emphasis will be on participation and having fun, while also enjoying the unique experience of running through tulips and simple ‘farm’ obstacles along the way.
Food vans will be available on-site for participants and other event attendees.
The wonderful family-friendly event was made possible with the support of the Table Cape Tulip Farm, who has allowed the event to be held there. Michael from Gone Nuts will be helping to organise the event, donating his time and resources. Council have made financial contributions to help with event costs.
