The Community Health and Wellbeing Plan 2019-24 is a five-year roadmap for promoting and improving the physical, mental and social wellbeing of our citizens. It is based on the following eight identified
priorities:
1. Reducing isolation
2. Supporting mental wellness
3. Valuing difference
4. Reducing socio-economic disadvantage
5. Improving access to the basics
6. Supporting those living with illness
7. Reducing harms from alcohol, tobacco and other drugs
8. Building resilience
The integrated nature of the Plan reflects the ongoing close working relationship between Circular Head and Waratah-Wynyard Councils and the way in which we set our strategic goals in tandem.
While the Plan is a joint strategy, we will target our actions to meet the individual needs of our
communities.
