Waratah-Wynyard Council takes a proactive, evidenced based, and environmentally sustainable approach to weed management around our municipal area. Weeds can pose a serious threat to our region’s primary production or natural environment.
The Inglis River Walking Track is a valued asset of the Waratah-Wynyard community and meanders through the picturesque riparian reserve. Over time, several structures have been developed to support its use and growing popularity. However, a lot of these structures are due for replacement within the next five years.
Council is thrilled to be supporting the inaugural Kids on the Cape Fun Run event on Saturday 7th October, at Table Cape Tulip Farm!
The Cooee to Wynyard Coastal Pathway is a joint project between the Burnie City Council (BCC) and Waratah-Wynyard Council (WWC) and is made possible through State Government funding of $13.86 million, alongside funding commitments by both Councils. The successful contractor, Shaw Contracting, will be commencing construction this week.
