Council has been exploring sites to construct a public toilet in Yolla. Two places were identified as preferable sites for a public toilet given their proximity to the town and local business. Before construction could commence, we needed to ensure the sites were able to effectively manage wastewater and meet the broader needs of the community. A wastewater review was conducted by an independent consultant to analyse each site’s viability. The report showed significant technical issues at one location, whilst we received substantial concerns in relation to the other possibility. Given these results, Council is now exploring alternative locations before finalising where a public toilet can be constructed. Further updates will be provided soon.
