ANZAC Park, Somerset

Facility Snapshot

Memorial Park & All Abilities Playground

A memorial park and all-abilities playground is located between the Bass Highway and the Somerset Surf Club. The park is situated beside the mouth of the Cam River, adjacent to the Somerset Beach and Surf Life Saving Club, and attracts families from across the north of the state. The park also hosts a large gathering by the cenotaph every Anzac Day.

A barbecue shelter caters for family and club gatherings with picnic tables, electric barbecues and drinking water available. A large area of parkland lends itself to the impromptu game of cricket, football and outdoor activity.

The park features an all-abilities playground that is fun, inclusive and accessible for everyone. It features a range of activities and sensory play experiences. Please note that the use of the disability-friendly swing and ‘Changing Places’ toilets requires the use of a MLAK key. Safe swimming between the flags can be enjoyed at the beach during Summer.

*Please note that disability-friendly toilets are available at the park. Additional ‘Changing Places’ facility and liberty swing is available but requires the use of an MLAK key. For more information, please visit https://masterlocksmiths.com.au/mlak/. Please note that the council is unable to issue MLAK keys to the public.
