Council resolved at the Ordinary Meeting held on Monday 12 December 2022 to consider the sale of the currently underutilised asset at 4 George Street Somerset and proceed with advertising an intention to sell to inform the decision.
Expressions of Interest are currently being accepted for the role of Waratah-Wynyard Council Foreshore Market Coordinator.

Council advises that our offices will be closed on Monday, 7 November to observe the Recreation Day public holiday. The Wynyard Waste Transfer Station, however, will operate as per usual hours.
Waratah-Wynyard Council (WWC) are seeking an interactive boat or boat inspired installation to be created by a Tasmanian artist.
The boat is intended to be a visual point of reference that is tactile and evokes a sense of play and adventure.
A section of the Inglis River Walkway is closed due to flood damage. The northern side of the walking track (from Flowerdale Bridge to River Road) is unavailable for public use until repair works have been completed. Please note the southern section is still accessible.
