Position:
Waratah-Wynyard Council have an exciting opportunity available for a Manager People, Governance and Customer Experience to support our growing municipality.
This is a strategic leadership role focused on enabling Council’s greatest asset its people. Reporting to the Director Corporate Services, the position leads the People & Culture, Work Health & Safety, Governance and Customer Experience functions to create a workplace where people are supported to perform, develop and thrive. The role drives workforce strategy, organisational capability, leadership development, employee wellbeing and cultural initiatives, while ensuring sound governance, legislative compliance and a customer-focused approach across the organisation.
As a member of the Corporate Services Leadership Team, you will provide high-level advice and support to the Director Corporate Services, contribute to the delivery of Council’s strategic priorities, and lead organisational improvement initiatives that support effective service delivery to our community.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Diploma in Human Resources
- Demonstrated experience leading people, culture and organisational development functions, including workforce planning, employee relations and leadership development.
- Strong knowledge of employment legislation, industrial relations, Work Health and Safety, Awards, Enterprise Agreements and organisational governance.
- Experience leading organisational improvement, change management, business improvement and customer experience initiatives.
