Boat Harbour Beach is a popular swimming, holiday resort and recreational area. It is a DAY USE ONLY area, with no camping or overnight parking allowed.
The local cafe provides eat-in and takeaway food and there are several picnic tables and barbecues available to the public. Children’s playground equipment, public toilets with disabled access to the beach are available.
The beach is home to the Boat Harbour Surf Life Saving Club, who provide regular beach patrols over the summer months. There is walking access from Boat Harbour Beach right through to the Postman’s Track at Sisters Beach – a stunning 2-hour one way walk suitable for moderate fitness levels.

Boat Harbour Beach is a popular community space that can be booked for weddings, functions or commercial use. If you’re planning a gathering, market stall, fitness session or other organised event, please submit a booking request using the calendar below.
Please note this booking is for the beach area only.
Before completing your booking, please ensure you have:
- Read and understood Council’s Facility Hire Terms and Conditions and Risk Management Terms of hire.
- Considered whether you need a Traffic Management Plan, Public Liability Insurance or other permits.
- Allowed adequate notice for Council approval
