A memorial park is located between the Bass Highway and the Somerset Surf Club beside the mouth of the Cam River and hosts a large gathering by the cenotaph every Anzac Day.

A large barbecue shelter caters for family and club gatherings with picnic tables, electric barbecues and drinking water available. A large area of parkland lends itself to the impromptu game of cricket, football and outdoor activity. Playground equipment suited for primary school age children is also available to play on.

Public toilet facilities are located on the ground floor of the Somerset Surf Club building. Safe swimming between the flags can be enjoyed at the beach. Access can also be gained to disabled toilets.
