Mayor Mary Duniam and CEO Vanessa Adams recently visited the newly completed Sensory Park to share a look at what’s ahead for our community in 2026.
As we step into the new year, Council is focused on delivering the projects and services that make Waratah–Wynyard a great place to live, work and visit. From Wynyard to Waratah, we’re continuing to roll out our Annual Plan and Capital Works Program across the municipality.
One exciting project to watch is Boat Harbour Beach, where the Master Plan is progressing well and expected to be completed this year. We’ll be sharing more details about the official opening soon.
In Wynyard, upgrades to the Inglis River Walking Track are underway, improving safety, accessibility and connections so more people can enjoy time along the river.
Along the foreshore, spaces like the Sensory Garden show our commitment to creating welcoming, inclusive places for everyone in the community.
We’re also pleased to be bringing back Community Conversations in 2026 — a great opportunity to drop in, ask questions, share ideas and connect with Council.

We look forward to sharing more updates throughout 2026 as projects continue to take shape across our towns and communities.
