TasNetworks will be carrying out important upgrades to high-voltage assets between Savage River and Waratah from Saturday 14 March to Wednesday 15 April 2026.
To ensure a reliable electricity supply for residents during this period, a temporary generation unit will be placed in town.
The generator will only be required to run on:
- Tuesday 17 March 2026
- Tuesday 14 April 2026
At all other times, the equipment will remain on standby and may be remotely activated if there is an interruption to supply.
