National Reconciliation Week is held annually from 27 May to 3 June and provides an opportunity for all Australians to reflect on our shared histories, our diverse cultures and achievements.
This year’s theme, “All In”, may also be viewed as a call for unity in a time of global volatility, and encourages all Australians to recognise that meaningful change requires participation, learning and shared responsibility.
At Waratah-Wynyard Council, reconciliation is supported through listening, learning, relationships and respect for all cultures. National Reconciliation Week provides an important opportunity to pause, reflect and continue these conversations within our workplace and community.
We encourage staff and community to take the opportunity to engage with the conversations, stories, resources and community events that may be seen, heard and shared throughout National Reconciliation Week, and beyond.
Thank you for your continued commitment to creating a welcoming and inclusive community for all.
