If you’re already enrolled to vote in State and Federal elections, you are automatically enrolled to vote in the 2026 Local Government Elections for the municipality where your enrolled residential address is located.
However, each local council maintains a General Manager’s Roll for eligible non-resident voters.
Enrolment on the General Manager’s Roll is not automatic. If you’re eligible, you must lodge an application before the closing date.
You may be eligible to enroll on the Waratah-Wynyard Council General Manager’s Roll if you:
• own or occupy land in the municipal area that is different from where you are enrolled on the State Electoral Roll; or
• are the nominated representative of a corporate body that owns or occupies land in the municipal area.
