FOGO Update 2025
We’re excited to share that Circular Head Council and Burnie City Council are officially joining the North West FOGO Alliance!
They’ll be rolling out Food Organics and Garden Organics (FOGO) services in their communities, joining Waratah-Wynyard, Central Coast, Kentish, Devonport and Latrobe councils in helping reduce waste and protect our region’s future.
Since launching FOGO in July 2024, Waratah-Wynyard residents have already diverted 934 tonnes of material from landfill — an impressive 51% diversion rate! Every bit of effort counts and shows how FOGO is making a real difference.
FOGO is helping to create cleaner, greener communities across the Coast — and now with even more councils on board, we’re building a stronger, more sustainable region together.
