Waratah-Wynyard Council is inviting community members to help create the artwork for the new Welcome to Waratah sign.
The previous sign was removed following storm damage. Council is now seeking an original artwork or creative concept that captures the spirit and identity of Waratah – its history, wilderness, community and character.
You don’t need to be a professional artist to apply. Submissions are welcome from local residents and people with a connection to the Waratah community, either individually or as a collaborative group.
The successful entrant will receive a $1,000 honorarium. Their selected concept will then be professionally refined for reproduction on the new sign.
