As part of implementing the Sisters Beach Foreshore Management Plan, Tasmania Parks and Wildlife Service in partnership with Council are starting stage 1 field work along the foreshore and within the dune system in August.
The purpose of this work is to establish baseline information about the current condition of the dunes, vegetation and foreshore. This information will provide an important benchmark to help monitor change over time and guide future management and restoration activities.
You may notice Parks staff undertaking site inspections and surveys. These assessments are an important step in understanding the current state of the foreshore and supporting informed, evidence-based decisions as the Foreshore Management Plan is implemented.
