The North West Resource Recovery & Recycling (NWRRR) team are out and about checking bins and adding tags to help our community reduce contamination.
Bin checks are running from now until the end of April and happen twice a year. They’re here to reduce contamination and support anyone who might need a little guidance getting it right.
The good news? Over 91% of checked bins are getting it right — great work, community!
Did you know one heavily contaminated bin can send an entire truckload to landfill? When the wrong items end up in your recycling or FOGO bin, it can undo the good efforts of the whole community.
