A Massive Week for Our Depot Team!
From power outages to fallen trees, closed roads, and setting up a festival – our Depot Team has had a huge week!
Last Friday, the day before the Tulip Festival, our municipality was hit by wild weather that caused power outages, fallen trees, and road closures. Our Depot Team worked tirelessly to remove trees, reopen roads, and clear storm damage so that both community members and visitors could enjoy the festival.
On festival day, the challenges continued! The team worked hard to ensure safe vehicle access at Frederick Street Reserve — the main parking area for visitors — as well as supporting community members who needed the facility during the ongoing power outage.
Continuing through to today, the team is busy restoring our beloved Gutteridge Gardens to its original state after all the festival foot traffic through the muddy grass.
And through it all, they did it with grace — and a smile on their face!
Great work, Depot Team — thank you for your dedication and for keeping our town looking pristine!
