Wynyard set to burst into bloom for Tulip Festival this Saturday

Wynyard, Tasmania — Petals, parade and plenty of good times: this Saturday the Inglis River becomes the backdrop to the Wynyard Tulip Festival, a full-day celebration of music, makers and mouth-watering Tasmanian fare in Gutteridge Gardens.

Now in its 33rd year, the Festival coincides with the spectacular spring display on Table Cape and continues to grow as a signature event on the Tasmanian calendar. Last spring, the Festival welcomed more than 20,000 visitors, and this year’s program offers even more reasons to make a day of it, from live music and thrill rides to helicopter flights and one of the state’s largest food and market precincts, all capped by a fireworks finale.

Mayor Mary Duniam said the Festival captures the essence of Waratah-Wynyard in full colour.

“Tulip Festival is where our place, our people and our seasons meet. It’s a day to wander the riverbank, share great local flavours, enjoy top-notch entertainment and simply soak up spring in Wynyard. We look forward to welcoming everyone to Gutteridge Gardens on Saturday.”

Adding extra sparkle in 2025 are Festival Ambassadors Josh ‘Pezza’ Perry (MasterChef Australia 2024 runner-up) and Hannah Moloney (ABC Gardening Australia), bringing culinary flair and green-thumb inspiration to the program.

The Wynyard Tulip Festival is a Waratah-Wynyard Council event, proudly supported by the Tasmanian Government through Events Tasmania and the Tasmanian Waste & Resource Recovery Board. Entry is free and everyone is welcome.
