Waratah Community Board Expression of Interest

The inaugural Waratah Community Board achieved a number of successful outcomes for the community, including progression of the Waratah Waterfall Walk and the Waratah Rail Bridge project, as well as the development of the Waratah Community Hub and associated services.

With the inaugural Board’s term now complete, Waratah-Wynyard Council is seeking expressions of interest for members of the new Waratah Community Board. Members will be elected for a three-year term and will be responsible for progressing the priority projects identified in Council’s adopted Waratah Community Plan 2022/2025. The new Board will build on the great work already begun and drive further community-led initiatives.

Expression of Interest documents including a Position Description outlining the roles and responsibilities of Board members and a copy of the Waratah Community Board Charter and Code of Conduct, which provide details of the Board’s strategic vision and governance structure are included on this page for reference.

Council is seeking Expressions of Interest from community members who are positive team players willing to serve the community as it works with the Council and other organisations to deliver the Waratah Community Plan.
