Waratah-Wynyard Council is seeking feedback from impacted stakeholders and community members on proposed speed limit changes for several local roads.
Council has resolved to notify impacted stakeholders of its intent to request a review of the speed limits listed below. If no objectionable feedback is received, Council will request that the Transport Commissioner review the speed limits.
This is your opportunity to indicate whether you support or object to the proposed changes, and to provide any comments you would like Council to consider.
Proposed speed limit changes
The proposed changes are:
- Mount Hicks Road — 100km/h to 80km/h
- Village Lane — 100km/h to 80km/h
- Little Village Lane — 100km/h to 80km/h
- Tollymore Road — 100km/h to 80km/h
- Table Cape Road — 100km/h to 80km/h
- Inglis Street — 60km/h to 50km/h, from Church Street to the Bass Highway
About this consultation
Council is seeking feedback on whether stakeholders and community members support or object to the proposed speed limit changes.
Reports were presented to the June Council meeting with detailed background information about why each speed limit change has been proposed, including technical assessments and supporting data.

Feedback received through this process will be collated and provided back to Council for consideration before any further action is taken. Council will not provide individual responses to feedback submitted through this consultation.
