Dispute Resolution & Code of Conduct Complaints

Waratah–Wynyard Council is committed to fair, timely and transparent handling of disputes and complaints about the conduct of councillors. This page explains how to resolve matters informally where possible, and how to lodge a formal Code of Conduct complaint when required under the Local Government Code of Conduct framework.

Overview

Community members are encouraged to raise concerns directly with Council. Many issues can be resolved quickly and informally by the relevant team. Where a matter relates specifically to the behaviour of a councillor under the Code of Conduct, a formal complaint process is available.

If your issue is about a service request (e.g. bins, roads, parks), please log a service request so it can be directed quickly to the right team.
