SISTERS BEACH - BRIDGE ROAD - FOOTPATH DESIGN CONCEPTS
Council is planning to extend the footpath on Bridge Road, Sisters Beach.
Two options have been put forward (there is negligible difference in the cost).
Design Concept 1:
• will retain the road width and provides active pedestrian protection (kerb and channel)
• extends from the bridge to Elfrida Avenue only
• will require the removal of three healthy and mature gum trees
Design Concept 2:
• will retain the gum trees
• footpath will extend to Honeysuckle Avenue
• introduces a traffic calming device and has edge line delineation rather than kerb and channel.
Which option would you prefer to see Council proceed with?
