Local residents, schools and community groups interested in having a say in the development of Waratah Wynyard's approach to the delivery of youth service's are invited to submit comments and feedback on Council's draft Youth Policy 2009-2011.
Waratah Wynyard Council's draft Youth Polciy forms the strategic framework for Council's youth development over the next two years. The draft Youth Policy has been prepared in response to the identified need to develop a broad framework and future strategies to address issues relating to young people. The draft policy formalises Council's committment to young people and outlines the role Council will play to ensure the needs of the young people in Waratah Wynyard are considered in the decision making processes.
Council welcomes ideas and feedback from members of the public and interested community groups on the draft Youth Policy 2009-2011 before it is officially adopted by Council. To view Council's Youth Policy, click on the link provided below.
