Waratah-Wynyard Council provides quality community-based child care for children from birth to 12 years of age.
Facilities are licensed by the Department of Education and Wynyard Child Care Centre is accredited with the National Childcare Accreditation Council.
Parents may be eligible to receive Child Care Benefit from the Commonwealth Government to help offset the cost of child care.
Our staff are highly professional, with a diverse range of qualifications and experience, ensuring the needs of children are constantly met in entertaining, challenging and motivating programs.
Long Day Care and Administration Centre
Catering for children from birth to five years between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm each week day. (Closed Public Holidays and between Christmas and New Year). The Little Goldie Street Annex caters for children in their pre-school years.
The Centres provide a variety of educational toys and equipment and have well equipped large outdoor play environments for the children to enjoy. Transport is provided to and from school if required. A baby capsule hire service is available.
Early childhood education experiences are provided on Tuesday and Thursday each week between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm for children from brith to 7 years.
The Centre has a large indoor play area to cater for the children's needs, particularly during the winter months at Waratah.
Outside School Hours Care programs provide care for children 5 - 12 years of age when school is not in session. We offer Vacation Care, After School Programs and provide care on Pupil Free Days. Programs offer a wide range of experiences including art, craft, sport and excursions.
