The faces of Waratah-Wynyard - People, pride and passion Photography Competition was conducted in the second half of 2013. Finalists in the competition were on display at the Wonders of Wynyard Information Centre until the end of October 2013.
This competition was about showcasing the people who make up Waratah-Wynyard and what do they do. Just under 100 entrants submitted entries that captured the many characters that make Waratah-Wynyard such a great place to live. We received pictures of people at work, play and everything in between.
The images were captured in the Waratah-Wynyard municipal area. From Boat Harbour, Corinna, Flowerdale, Preolenna, Sisters Beach, Somerset, Wynyard and Yolla and beyond the Waratah-Wynyard Council called for entries that share what you think is great about the people in our municipal area.. Council will use selected competition entries to promote our community as a great place to live, work and play.
The Photography Competition sought entries in the following sections: Primary School, High School and Open. There was also be an award for the People's Choice. Voting was available by viewing the finalists at the Wonders of Wynyard Information Centre.
