Little Athletics is administered nationally through the Australian Little Athletics Association and statewide through the Tasmanian Little Athletics Association.
The Burnie Centre was formed and first operated for the 1989/90 season.
It is administered by a committee of volunteers who are elected at the Annual General Meeting, held in April or May each year. We constantly need new blood on the committee so if you are interested, please come along to a committee meeting.

Is a friendly, family orientated club interested in promoting track, road and mountain bike cycling. Cycling skills and safety are taught in a supportive environment. The club is located at West Park, Burnie where during the Summer months, track events take place on Wednesday evenings. People of all ages and cycling abilities are welcome.

Cradle Coast Outrigger Canoe Club
The Cradle Coast Outrigger Canoe Club is a sporting club open to anyone over 8 years of age. Training runs all year round at both Somerset and South Burnie. The club has canoes catering from six persons to one and two man types. All equipment including lifejacket are available to new paddlers.

Try Skills
Waratah-Wynyard Council has been delivering the Try Skill Junior Development Program for more than 10 years.
The aim of this project is to encourage Grade 5, 6 and 7 students to get involved with clubs in the Waratah-Wynyard municipal area and students from all schools are invited to attend.
Following the successful introduction of a number of arts, cultural and other community groups over the past few years the project is now known as the Waratah-Wynyard Junior Development Project.
