Council Meeting Outcomes - 19 August 2019
At the Council meeting held Monday 19 August Council:
- Determined to produce a report to consider the value and viability of publishing video recording of public monthly Council Meetings to enable greater transparency, knowledge, accountability and engagement for residents and ratepayers
- Determined to prohibit and abolish camping, caravan and motorhome overnight occupancy on council-controlled land at Boat Harbour Beach and furthermore commence consultation and communication and investigate options of providing an area at Sisters Beach to accommodate such activities
- Adopted the Boat Harbour Harbour Beach Masterplan
- Adopted the Waste and Resource Recovery Strategy 2019-2024
- Determined not to provide in-principle support to proceed with the Loo with a View Concept Plan
- Agreed to commence an expression of interest process for the sale or other uses of the building at 2420 Preolenna Road (Preolenna Hall)
- Ratified recommendations from the Nomenclature Office on the renaming and subsequent readdressing of the duplicated road “Esplanade” and associated land parcels
- Approved the establishment of an after-school care program at St Brigid’s Primary School
- Approved funds for the development of a new Council website
- Approved a number of policies and minutes including minutes of the Audit Panel and the Procurement Policy, Code for Tenders and Contracts, Waiver, Reduction and Refund of Bonds or Application Fees Policy
- Noted the Cradle Coast Waste Management Group Annual Plan & Budget 2019/20
