Council working with community following Puddleduck Play Centre
Waratah-Wynyard Council is committed to working with the community in response to the closure of Puddleduck Play Centre in Somerset.
Puddleduck Play Centre has been in the community for a long time, but due to a decline in utilisation, the program closed its doors earlier this year.
Council officers have since been working with a group of interested community members to determine the future use of the equipment from within the service to ensure its remains within community organisations.
Any funds remaining from the program will be redirected into a piece of community infrastructure, to be determined.
The future of the building will be determined as part of the Central Area Plan for Somerset.
Council would like to thank Coastal Family Day Care for operating the service for the last couple of years
