Partnership Agreement

The Partnership Agreement between the State Government and Waratah-Wynyard Council was signed on Tuesday 26 April 2005.  Minister Bryan Green representing the Premier and the Mayor on behalf of Council signed the Partnership Agreement.

The Partnership Agreement has identified seven (7) specific areas of interest including:

  1. Economic Development and Tourism
  2. Transport
  3. Environment and Land Management Issues
  4. Community Health and Safety
  5. Education, Arts and Culture
  6. Local and State Development
  7. Effective Financial Arrangements

In most areas the issues and actions are complementary to Council's Strategic Plan.  A significant amount of work will now be required to further the actions identified within the Partnership Agreement with some relatively tight timeframes being identified in some case.
