Central Area Development Plan 'Walk and Talk' sessions for Wynyard and Somerset

Council is developing a long-term strategy to guide public and private investment in the central areas of Wynyard and Somerset over the next 25 years.

This includes investigation of potential changes in each of the central areas to improve liveability and increase economic development.

To date the project has held focus group discussions with communities in Wynyard and Somerset.  We are now inviting the broader community to provide further input by way of a walk-and-talk session. The session will comprise a walking route through each town with key ideas and themes discussed at points along the way.  

“ Walk and Talk ” sessions will be held on the following dates:

Wynyard – 15 January 2018 from 1pm – 2pm, meeting point Gutteridge Gardens

Somerset – 16 January 2018 from 1pm – 2pm, meeting point Somerset Plaza
